Wow. How surreal to be moving on with life while retaining such painful reminders of the carnage.

I lived in Ilidza, Sarajevo from May to October of ’09. These photos are an excellent representation of the beautiful, yet sad city. Thank you for the nostalgia!

Awesome pictures. It makes me homesick for Eastern Europe, although I never made it south of Hungary. I have a very limited understanding of the difficulties and tragedies the people of Sarajevo have experience, but I want to learn more.

Who might say there was a bloody war here just twenty years ago, fortunately, arising from her ashes.

I know some people who lived and worked there for a year. They did not have a bad word to say about the place or the people. They will happily talk about their life there at the drop of a hat. From the pictures it looks like the past is in the past. I hope it stays there.

A fellow Word Press blogger posted these wonderful photos of Sarajevo. So many lights! Of course it is lively and vibrant — I have imagined it so. One day, perhaps I will be brave enough to visit. But for now, I study these lovely photos of a peace-time visitor with pleasure.

    Hello Cloudlessness!!!

For the webpage of Galileu ( http://revistagalileu.globo.com/ ) , a Brazilian science and curiosities magazine, we’d more than pleased to publish an article about your post-olympic cties photo set, specially Sarajevo’s one.

For such, we’d like to know if are we allowed to run some of the photos released on your webpage, in order to properly illustrate the text. May we, please?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
