These are all great photos, I especially love the old apartment buildings and the one of the dogs drinking in the cemetery, Beautiful. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I lived in Ilidza, Sarajevo from May to October of ’09. These photos are an excellent representation of the beautiful, yet sad city. Thank you for the nostalgia!
Awesome pictures. It makes me homesick for Eastern Europe, although I never made it south of Hungary. I have a very limited understanding of the difficulties and tragedies the people of Sarajevo have experience, but I want to learn more.
I spent time in Croatia this summer …. near Vojnic – right near the Bosnia border and Sarajavo is now near the top of my travel list – thx for the sneak peak …. so beautiful!
What beautiful photographs. I remember hearing the horrible news reports about this city, I was so frightened for it’s citizens. It is a magical looking place. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful place and awesome photos. The very special one that which caught my attention is that pic where it says: “I Love This City.. I Defend This City.” – cool. 😀
I know some people who lived and worked there for a year. They did not have a bad word to say about the place or the people. They will happily talk about their life there at the drop of a hat. From the pictures it looks like the past is in the past. I hope it stays there.

A fellow Word Press blogger posted these wonderful photos of Sarajevo. So many lights! Of course it is lively and vibrant — I have imagined it so. One day, perhaps I will be brave enough to visit. But for now, I study these lovely photos of a peace-time visitor with pleasure.
